Assoc. Prof. Kim-Hung Le, Ph.D. is currently the Head of the Department of Communications at the Faculty of Computer Networks and Communications, University of Information Technology (UIT), Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM). He received his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from UIT, VNU-HCM. He subsequently pursued his postgraduate studies in France, earning his Master’s degree with distinction (GPA 4.0/4.0) from Télécom Paris (Institut Polytechnique de Paris) and his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Sorbonne University. In early 2026, he was officially conferred the title of Associate Professor in Information Technology. His primary research interests lie at the intersection of Cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), and Edge/Cloud Computing. Specifically, his work focuses on machine learning-based Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), adaptive sampling algorithms for energy-efficient IoT networks, and secure communication architectures for Smart Cities and Smart Healthcare systems. Assoc. Prof. Le has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed papers in high-impact international journals and conference proceedings (including IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Access, and Computer Networks), alongside holding an international patent granted in Europe. Recognized for his prominent scientific contributions, he was awarded the prestigious Golden Globe Science and Technology Award in 2024 and named among the nominees for Outstanding Young Faces of Vietnam. He also actively leads multiple institutional research projects in advanced network security and IoT systems.
